Oyinkan's/Jennifer's Viewpoint

When I was 16, I met Tunde through mutual friends and I remember being quite shy around him, I thought he was cute but there was a catch - we lived too far away from each other to pursue anything serious and in my head we were way too young to be trying. Despite the distance, we kept in touch randomly over Social Media and always checked in on one another.

​

We both eventually ended up in different relationships. Yet, somehow, fate had a way of bringing us back together when the timing was just right. We had always been friendly, so when he checked in on me on Instagram and left comments/emoji's on my posts, I didn't think he was flirting until one day out of the blue, he asked if I still had the same number and proceeded to call me straight away. We spent hours on the phone, joking about the past and talking about the future, he told me something always drew me to him and this was weird because I felt the same, I had always wanted to learn more about him and I found out that we had similar humour, his goals aligned with mine, our personalities clicked and he wasn't too bad looking either. He allowed me to fully let my guard down and simply be unapologetically me.

And so, after years of knowing each other, experiencing separate journeys, and growing individually, we finally found ourselves in a place where we could be together. The timing was perfect, Now, looking back, I realize that the time we spent apart helped mold us into the people we are today and more importantly into the partners we need to be for one another in the future, God has perfect timing!

Tunde's Viewpoint

In the summer of 2010 during a holiday trip to Nigeria, I met my future wife. She caught my eye with her cute self and  adorable shyness, and extremely quiet self (so i thought) guess i was just that good looking that she couldn't speak lol. Despite feeling a connection, we both knew we were young and heading in different directions with college on the horizon. Despite this, we stayed in touch through social media over the years. Fast forward to December 2015, back on holidays again decided to reach out, and she hadn't lost her beauty or her quiet demeanour guess the she was still overwhelmed by the looks, but one thing for sure is that she still caught my attention but despite feeling like it wasn't the right time for a serious relationship, we continued to keep in touch as life took us down separate paths. However, in 2022, something clicked. I found myself drawn to her Instagram page more often, and I finally decided to call her and boy could she talk lol. We spoke for hours day in day out From that moment on, our connection grew way more than i could have imagined, and the rest, as they say, is history. Gatcha
